Тема: “Традиции и обычаи англоязычных стран. Праздник день Святого Валентина в 10 классе”.
Практическая цель: активизировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся по изученной теме.
Образовательная цель: развивать кругозор учащихся, повышать интерес к изучению иностранного языка, давая информацию о традициях, праздниках, достопримечательностях и известных людях страны изучаемого языка.
Воспитательная цель: создать возможность для проявления индивидуальных художественных способностей учащихся.
Оформление: открытки в форме сердец , воздушные шары, свечи, цветы на столе.

ХОД УРОКА:
Teacher: Dear friends! Ladies and gentlemen! You are welcome to our party dedicated to St. Valentine’s Day, which is always held on February 14th and brings us happiness and good luck .St .Valentine is one of the popular holidays in Europe and America .This religious holiday is also celebrated in Great Britain .It is the day when boys and girl, sweethearts and lovers , husbands and wives ,friends and neighbors exchange greetings of affection , undying love or satirical comment .
St Valentine’s Day ,February 14 ,has been a day for choosing sweethearts and exchanging love-tokens from time immemorial .The method of choosing sweethearts on St. Valentine’s Day varied in different times and places .It could be a serious matter ,leading to a marriage ,or it could be a kind of game .So one famous man said :’’Love is life and if you miss love ,you miss life .’’
So I hope that today you won’t miss anything and you’ll enjoy the holiday! Wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!
I. Игра «Валентин и Валентина»Учитель обходит девочек. Каждая девочка бросает ему в коробку записку со своим именем, мальчики опускают в другую коробку записки со своими именами. После того как записки собраны, учитель достает по одной записке и объявляет имена. Названные мальчик и девочка садятся вместе.
2. Активизация страноведческой информации об истории данного праздника.
T: Dear friends! What legends about this day do you know?(Дети готовились к празднику, они рассказывают различные версии о святом Валентине).
3. Разминка
T: What famous lovers do you know?
(Дети называют)- Romeo and Juliet.
-Tatyana—Onegin
- Pugacheva and Kirkorov
- Presnyakov and Orbakaite ets.
4.Вводное слово учителя о символике разных праздников. Разговор о символах Дня Влюбленных и значении символов.
Symbols: rice, ting, red mitten, Cupid with bow and arrow, lace, ribbon (необходимо приготовить рисунки).
QUESTIONS:
1. What do rice and ting mean on St. Valentine’s Day?2. What is to get a red mitten on Valentine’s Day?3. What is Cupid with bow and arrow?4. What is lace on a Valentine’s Card?5. 5. My dear friends, as you know, on this holiday people send each other big red hearts with wishes. Let’s recite the poem about them.
P1: Roses are red,Violets are blue,Sugar is sweet,And so are you
P2: Today is a very special day for sending all my love your way!
P3: Roses are red, violets are blueI made this card just for youIt's not the neatest, it wouldn't pass a testBut it's made with love--that makes it the best
P4: I'm sending you a Valentine's WishFilled with Hugs and Kisses too.Because there is a special placeFor a special (boy) (girl) like you
P5: I have nothing more to give you than my heart. - (Spanish saying)
P6: Here is my heart, guard it well.- (French saying)

6. T: Someone is knocking at our door.Входит святой Валентин (ученик 7-го класса в костюме). Он поздравляет детей с праздником и проводит викторину: "What do you know about St.Valentine’s Day?"1. Who was the Valentine who lived three hundred years after the death of Jesus Christ in the Roman empire? (A Christ priest).2. What did he do the night before he was executed?3. What holiday did people celebrate in Rome many years ago? (a Roman holiday, held in honour of the Goddess of Love).4. What is St.Valentine’s Day now? (It is a day for sweethearts).5. What can you do on this day?6. How do English and American children celebrate this holiday at schools?После викторины святой Валентин достает большое красное сердце и раздает детям из него (сердца) подарки
7. Teacher: I am sure all of you want to know what happens with you in future, when you’ll meet your sweetheart and may be who is he (she). And I’ve brought you a present. It’s a fortune tree. Have a look! (На дереве судьбы сердечки из бумаги с предсказаниями). Come here and you will know your fortunes. (Ребята подходят, обрезают сердечки и читают предсказания).
8. В конце мероприятия учитель благодарит детей за активное участие, подводит итоги и прощается с детьми.
Teacher: Love! Happiness! Beauty! There are not so many days in a year when we pronounce these pleasant words. But today we took part in party-games ad practiced the use of some pleasant words ad expressions on this special occasion. Happy St. Valentine’s Day!

задание
первое задание для блога - найти интересные задания для дня св.валентина (разные ступени обучения). при публикации необходимо указать для какого возраста, сколько времени потребует (хотя бы приблизительно), свои впечатления, если применяли это задание в роли учителя или учащегося и т.д. обсуждения заданий приветствуются! :)
